BUILDING THE LARGEST SOLAR SMART ARRAY IN NORTH AMERICA: Behind the Scenes of a 2.2 MW Solar Power Plant

SKU: b5b41fac0361 Category:

Description

Go behind the scenes of the development and construction of the recently commissioned 2.2 MW solar power plant constructed by Talmage Solar Engineering, Inc. in Sharon, Vermont. This is the largest solar “smart array” in North America, and was featured prominently in the industry press and at SPI 2012.

The system combines Upsolar modules backed by Upsolar's reinforced warranty Tigo Energy's PV solar power optimizers and digital monitoring, and Solectria Renewables inverters, to feed optimized renewable energy directly into the local grid. Project developer Talmage Engineering's CFO Kale Inoue will review the project's history and will lead a panel discussion with and Upsolar's Troy Dalbey, Tigo's Paul Grana, and Solectria's Brad Sherman .

The panel will review the challenges faced in developing the project and the technical advances that allow the system to perform at a lower cost per kilowatt hour than a traditional array. You will learn what it takes to get a project of this size from concept to electricity production, hear from vendors of key system components about their design, and see how everything is performing since commissioning in July 2012.

Although the target audience is solar professionals working in the 25kW-25MW system range, all are welcome to attend, and the webinar is free.
