Upsolar was founded in Hong Kong by Zhe Jiang in 2006 and has quickly established itself as leader in PV technology solutions. The company began module production in less than one year’s time, and shipments quickly quadrupled between 2007 and 2008. In May of 2008, we established Upsolar Europe SAS in Paris to better serve our European customer base and to more efficiently expand our operations into the Middle East and Africa. Our Test and Development Centre was also opened in 2008, enabling Upsolar to further improve the quality of our product offerings. Our North American operations commenced in 2009, headquartered from the Upsolar America, Inc. office in San Francisco. Shipments reached 120 MW by the end of 2009, doubling our output from the year prior. Further expansion occurred in 2010 as we opened the doors on Upsolar Italia, Srl.
