It was great to talk with you today. I'd like to introduce you to Dan Sowder, my friend that I mentioned to you on the call today.<\/p>\n
Dan is with 1Energy Systems, a Seattle, WA-based start-up focusing on making energy storage and solar more valuable contributors to a reliable and economic electric grid through control systems software, grid-integrated control algorithms, and standards. 1Energy Systems is inventing better ways to integrate storage and solar within the grid, and helping drive the growth of an emerging industry.<\/p>\n
Formerly, Dan was with both the Emerging Technology Division and the Distributed Energy Resources Division of Duke Energy Carolinas. He was one of NCSEA's strongest supporters, and helped us build invaluable and collaborative relationships within the utility. He also helped NCSEA staff as well as our members understand the many challenges and opportunities that an IOU faces in integrating emerging technology into the conventional utility business model. Dan has very broad experience across many sectors of the energy industry, and I think he would be very interested in participating in one of your Principal Solar Institute webinars.<\/p>\n
